Bionic robot dog DEEP Robotics Lite Series 3

The Bionic Robot Lite 3 is an advanced robotic dog with higher driving power, a much more advanced and accurate algorithm, improved interaction with the environment, and a wide range of extensions with additional applicable modules. The four-legged robot can help users develop locomotion skills through deep learning and reinforcement learning.

Lite3 is intended for educational and scientific research purposes. Using the latest proprietary joints, control systems and advanced algorithms deep in the cloud, it has stronger, more maneuverable and durable motion capabilities. Lite3’s open modular structure and interface make it adaptable and scalable, enabling the development of advanced perceptual abilities such as autonomous navigation, automatic stop-and-go obstacle avoidance, visual positioning, and environmental reconstruction.

DEEP Robotics

DEEP Robotics is at the forefront of global development in the development of core components and systems of four-legged robots, advanced motion control algorithms, intelligent environmental perception and artificial intelligence algorithms, and is committed to achieving a more efficient and intelligent future through the perfect combination of motion and intelligence.

“At DEEP Robotics, we are very excited to demonstrate the Lite3’s enhanced mobility and functionality, particularly its agility, dexterity and balance when performing movements such as a forward somersault.” – said ZHEN CHU, head of algorithm mobility at DEEP Robotics.

The Lite3 series is available in four versions.

DEEP Robotics said it is offering the new Lite3 series in four models: a basic one aimed at technology enthusiasts, plus three more advanced versions designed for research purposes.

The robot’s features include DEEP Robotics’ latest patented connections, control systems and advanced algorithms. Lite3 includes significant technological advances over Lite2, the company said.

The latest robotic dog utilizes patented leg joint technology that provides much more power and drive, and torque has been increased by 50%. The high torque articulated drive module provides extremely high torque density, response range and reverse gear efficiency, increased rotational stability and lower power consumption.

According to DEEP Robotics, the Lite3’s payload is 40 percent larger than its predecessor. It can carry loads weighing up to 7.5 kg (16.5 lbs).

In addition, the company says the robot’s endurance in terms of time and range has nearly doubled. The Lite3 can operate for up to 90 minutes and has a range of 5 kilometers (3.1 miles).

Lite3 features an industrial-grade, real-time, depth-optimized control system, a first in the DEEP Robotics line, that triples the overall processing power. “The algorithm update makes its movement more flexible and responsive,” the company said.

Lite 3 can climb steps up to 15 cm (5.9 inches) high, which is close to the current maximum for a four-legged robot of this size, and operates at a maximum speed of 4 m/sec. (8.9 mph). He can also perform horizontal jumps, high jumps, forward somersaults and other equally challenging maneuvers.
